Logistics Specialist (US Shift)

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and oversee Import logistics operations into the USA, including international shipment coordination, carrier communication, customs documentation review, import/export compliance support, and shipment tracking.
• This role works closely with carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure timely shipment execution, efficient issue resolution, and high customer satisfaction while supporting US business operations during night shift hours.

What You will Be Doing :

• Coordinate with warehouse agents, carriers involved, service providers in for U.S. operations
• Monitor shipment movement and resolve delivery delays, customs holds, and clearance-related issues.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely shipment execution.
• Review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS classifications, and supporting customs documentation.
• Follow up with service providers regarding entry corrections, duty-related issues, and shipment escalations.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve shipment and billing issues.
• Maintain shipment tracking records, shipment visibility updates, and operational reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

• Over 2-3 years of progressive experience in international logistics operations and import/export coordination.
• Strong knowledge of US customs clearance processes, import/export documentation, trade compliance requirements, and international shipping operations. Familiarity with Incoterms and HS code classification is a plus.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience handling international ocean shipments. Knowledge of handling Air shipments is an added advantage
• Ability to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, shipment visibility improvements, and logistics cost optimization.
• Analyze U.S. import shipment timelines, customs clearance activities, and on-time delivery performance to enhance overall logistics efficiency and shipment visibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, shipment tracking systems, and logistics reporting tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams while supporting U.S. night shift operations.
• Ability to work in US night shift hours supporting global logistics operations.
• Must be able to maintain sustained focus and responsiveness while handling time-sensitive shipment activities and customer delivery deadlines.
• Capability to manage multiple shipment priorities effectively in a fast-paced logistics operations environment.
• Ability to effectively address shipment escalations and customs clearance-related issues in a timely manner.
