About the job: Key responsibilities: A. Shopify Store Development & Customization: 1. Design, develop, and maintain Shopify-based e-commerce stores. 2. Customize existing Shopify themes or build new ones from scratch. 3. Implement front-end and back-end changes based on business requirements. B. App Integration & Development: 1. Install, configure, and troubleshoot third-party Shopify apps. 2. Develop custom Shopify apps or scripts to support unique business logic. C. User Experience (UX) Optimization: 4. Ensure responsive, mobile-first design and performance optimization. 5. Improve UI/UX across the customer journey, including product pages, cart, and checkout. D. Performance & SEO Optimization: 1. Optimize page speed, load times, and overall store performance. 2. Implement on-page SEO best practices for improved discoverability. E. API & Third-Party Integrations: 1. Work with Shopify APIs and external services (e.g., payment gateways, CRMs, ERPs). 2. Automate workflows through webhooks, REST, or GraphQL APIs. F. Testing & Quality Assurance: 1. Conduct A/B testing, bug fixes, and regular QA checks. 2. Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. G. Security & Compliance: 1. Maintain data integrity and site security, ensuring GDPR and PCI compliance where needed. H. Collaboration & Communication: 1. Work closely with designers, marketers, and product managers to align tech with business needs. 2. Provide technical input during planning and strategy meetings. 3. Ongoing Maintenance: 4. Monitor and update Shopify themes and apps. 5. Keep abreast of platform updates and ensure compatibility. H. Documentation & Reporting: 1. Maintain technical documentation of workflows, custom code, and integrations. 2. Report development progress and highlight blockers or opportunities.
