Role & responsibilities Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Bengaluru for a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue, expanding channel presence, managing customer relationships, and delivering consistent month-on-month growth. This role demands strong ownership, field execution capability, and a deep understanding of retail, Horeca, and FMCG sales dynamics. Day-to-day tasks include developing sales strategies, identifying potential markets, building and maintaining customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets. Additionally, the Sales Manager will lead the junior sales hires, provide training, and report on sales performance. Key Responsibilities 1. Revenue & Growth Own monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Develop and execute sales strategies for retail, Horeca, and institutional channels. Track sales performance and recommend actions to close gaps. 2. Market Expansion Expand product presence in modern trade and Horeca channels. Implement on-ground activations, sampling, and brand visibility plans. 3. Distributor & Channel Management Conduct sales forecasting and manage supply chain coordination. Build and motivate channel partners to achieve higher throughput. 4. Key Account Management Build strong relationships with Horeca chains, cafs, restaurants, cloud kitchens, and speciality stores. Negotiate placements, pricing, and promotions. Ensure timely execution of trade marketing activities. 5. Reporting & Insights Maintain daily/weekly sales reporting. Provide market intelligence: competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer insights. Recommend new product or channel opportunities. Preferred candidate profile Experience 2 - 5 years of experience in FMCG, beverages, nutraceuticals, or speciality foods. Proven track record of delivering sales targets and managing distributors/Horeca clients. Experience in launching or scaling emerging brands is a strong advantage. Skills Strong negotiation & relationship-building skills. Excellent communication and market understanding. Data-driven mindset with good grasp of Excel/CRM/Sales tools. High ownership, agility, and entrepreneurial approach. Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
