Lead Systems Engineer Job Scheduler
Missions JS7 Platform Administration & Operations . Understand and administer SOS Berlin JobScheduler JS7 for end users. . Manage proactive and reactive incidents related to JS7 and resolve high severity production issues within defined SLAs. . Perform routine maintenance and operational activities related to JS7. . Manage vulnerability remediation activities across the scheduling infrastructure, including patching and upgrades. . Be flexible and available to participate in on call support rotations as required. Scheduling Infrastructure Management . Understand, administer, and develop the scheduling infrastructure. . Manage the lifecycle of Scheduler Remote Agents, including installation, configuration, administration, upgrades, and decommissioning. . Possess working knowledge of both UNIX/Linux and Windows environments. Application & Scheduling Lifecycle Management . Manage the application lifecycle, including onboarding, modifications, and decommissioning activities. . Manage scheduling objects (such as workflows and schedules), including creation, modification, environment promotion, and decommissioning. . Analyze, evaluate, and implement changes based on business requirements. Automation, Development & Testing . Possess strong automation and programming experience using UNIX Shell Scripting. . Have experience in creating test cases, validating test data, and supporting testing activities. . Knowledge of ReactJS, Python, scripting languages, Cloud Computing, or DevOps technologies will be considered an added advantage. Governance, Best Practices & Continuous Improvement . Demonstrate sound technical knowledge and provide recommendations aligned with industry standards and best practices. . Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence through automation and innovative solutions. Collaboration & Professional Skills . Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, contributing to the successful and timely delivery of project objectives. . Demonstrate a good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and a proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. . Work effectively with application teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scheduling solutions and operational support.
