Lead Software Engineer

Two Circles | Audience Intelligence Platform

About us

Two Circles is a Sports & Entertainment Marketing business. We grow audiences and revenues by knowing fans best. We help clients understand and influence how fans spend, which events they attend, which channels they respond to and what content they watch.

Our platforms and services are trusted by 1,000+ clients globally, including the English Premier League, Red Bull, UEFA, VISA, the NFL and the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI).[RB1] We’re 1,000+ people across 15 offices.

The role

Join our global squad of software and data engineers building the Audience Intelligence Platform, the leading data management and analytics platform for the sports industry. You’ll build the React frontend and .NET services that let teams, leagues and rights holders explore fan data, build audiences and act on insight, increasingly through AI-powered experiences.

You’ll work in an AI-augmented way: using tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to ship faster, and building AI features directly into the product.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and test scalable React/TypeScript applications and .NET APIs (C#, ASP.NET Web API/MVC).
• Build AI-powered UI features such as natural-language audience building, conversational analytics, AI-generated insights and summaries, and smart recommendations.
• Design interfaces for AI interactions: streaming responses, loading and error states, citations and confidence cues, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Build APIs that expose fan behaviour analytics to the UI and to AI services.
• Use AI coding assistants in your daily workflow, and help the team shape good practice: prompting, code review of AI-generated code, testing and guardrails.
• Work closely with product and marketing to turn data into high-value features.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code with accessibility and performance in mind.

• Strong React and TypeScript experience, including component architecture, state management, and performance.
• Strong HTML5 (semantic, accessible) and CSS3/SCSS (responsive, themeable).
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot or similar) in day-to-day development, with a clear view of their strengths and limits.
• CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps pipelines or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI), prompt design, tool/function calling, or MCP.

• Experience implementing AI features in a UI: LLM-backed chat or copilots, generative UI, or AI-assisted search and filtering.
• Experience testing and evaluating non-deterministic features, and handling latency, cost, privacy and safety.
• Clear communication, including explaining blockers and timelines to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

• Strong C# and experience building APIs in modern .NET (Core/6/8/10); awareness of .NET Framework migration considerations.
