Lead Process Engineer

The Process Lead Engineer is responsible for leading the process engineering discipline across multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with industry standards, and timely project execution. The role involves process design, team leadership, inter-disciplinary coordination, client interactions, and support throughout all project phases from concept to commissioning.

• Lead and manage the process engineering team for assigned projects.
• Develop and review Process Design Basis, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform process calculations including mass and energy balance, equipment sizing, hydraulic calculations, relief load calculations, and utility consumption estimates.
• Review and approve process deliverables prepared by engineers and designers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards, client specifications, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, and Project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, PSSR, and other safety studies.
• Interface with clients, licensors, vendors, and third-party consultants.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning stages.
• Support proposal activities, project estimation, and technical bid evaluations.
• Monitor engineering progress, resource allocation, and deliverable schedules.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and engineers-in-training.
• Drive process optimization initiatives to improve plant performance, safety, and reliability.
