Java Backend Engineer (Lead)

The role involves building secure, reliable, and high-performance backend solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement integrations and orchestration between backend applications and enterprise systems.
• Design and optimize SQL queries, database interactions, and data access layers.
• Implement API security best practices, authentication, authorization, and secure communication.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and API tests to ensure application quality.
• Collaborate with architects, frontend engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Follow engineering best practices for code quality, version control, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application performance and stability.
• For Lead-level candidates, provide technical guidance, support design decisions, and mentor engineers.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in

  Java and Spring Boot

• Experience developing and maintaining

• Strong understanding of SQL databases, query optimization, and database integration.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and API testing.
• Knowledge of API security principles and secure backend development.

Good to Have

• Experience integrating with SAP APIs, SAP OData services, or other enterprise platforms.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development.
• Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of payment system integrations.
• Experience integrating with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, or other enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with caching strategies and performance optimization techniques.
