Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Collect, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, stool, etc.) Perform routine tests such as CBC, blood glucose, urine analysis, etc. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers. Record test results accurately and update patient files. Ensure timely reporting of test results to doctors or concerned departments. Follow all safety and hygiene protocols in handling specimens. Maintain proper documentation and logs for quality control and audit purposes. Manage inventory of lab consumables and place orders when needed. Assist in NABL or any accreditation processes, if applicable. Ensure proper waste disposal as per biomedical waste guidelines. Qualifications: Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) Valid certification or registration (as per local/state medical council norms) Skills Required: Knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and under supervision Good communication and teamwork skills Basic computer knowledge for report generation and data entry Work Experience: 0–2 years for junior roles; 2+ years preferred for senior roles Working Hours: Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays, as per hospital policy
