Training & Support: Provide technical support and training to ophthalmologists, optometrists, and nursing staff on safe equipment usage. Collaborate with clinical teams during the setup and operation of diagnostic or surgical equipment. Provide training to OMET students Vendor Management: Coordinate with external service providers and manufacturers for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract), CMC (Comprehensive Maintenance Contract), and equipment upgrades. Evaluate vendors for new equipment procurement and ensure cost-effective and high-quality purchasing. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification is a plus. Experience: Minimum 5- 8 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ophthalmology or eye care. Skills: Strong technical knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and General equipment, Ability to read technical manuals, circuit diagrams, and troubleshooting guides. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with clinical and technical teams. Familiarity with healthcare quality standards and medical equipment safety protocols.
