The role combines technical understanding, customer-facing presentations, and close coordination with the sales team to open and grow high-value accounts (pharma, nutraceutical, food & beverage, and export clients). You will be the “face of the product” – leading discussions with R&D, purchase, marketing, and management teams at key customers. Key Responsibilities Product & Market Development Own selected product categories (e.g. herbal extracts, liposomal ingredients, specialty nutraceuticals) and build deep technical and commercial understanding. Identify new market opportunities, applications, and positioning for existing and new products. Coordinate with R&D and production on new product concepts, trials, and commercial launches. Customer & Sales Support Work closely with the field sales team on key accounts: plan visits, meetings, and product pitches. Present products to customer R&D, QC, purchase, and management – including technical benefits, regulatory aspects, and commercial value. Support customers with samples, documentation, and technical clarifications required for approvals. Participate in negotiations for large deals along with senior management / sales. Key Account Management Focus on top existing and potential customers to increase wallet share and introduce new products. Maintain a clear opportunity pipeline (lead → trial → approval → PO) and review it regularly with management. Track competitor activity, pricing, and positioning; share structured feedback internally. Marketing & Branding Work with management/marketing to develop presentations, brochures, technical notes, and digital content. Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and customer events (India and overseas as required). Collect and share case studies, success stories, and application notes from the field. Internal Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with production, logistics, QA, and documentation teams to ensure smooth supply and customer satisfaction. Prepare monthly reports on product performance, key account progress, and market intelligence. Contribute to annual product and sales planning for your category. Qualification B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology) OR B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Tech / Biotech / Chemical with interest in nutraceuticals / herbal extracts. Skills & Attributes Strong communication skills in English; regional languages are an added advantage. Confident in making presentations to senior stakeholders (R&D heads, purchase managers, promoters). Well-groomed, professional appearance and body language suitable for client meetings. Good understanding (or willingness to learn) of basic formulation concepts, regulatory requirements, and quality documentation. High ownership mindset: ability to work independently, plan travel, and manage multiple accounts and projects. Proficient with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and basic CRM / reporting tools. Travel Requirements Extensive travel within India (approx. 10–15 days per month) for customer meetings and market visits. Willingness to travel for exhibitions, conferences, and key customer visits as per business needs (including occasional weekends when required).
