We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and visionary Institute Director/Academic Head to lead a new digital marketing/IT training institute in Chennai. This individual will be responsible for overseeing academic delivery, operations, team management, student outcomes, and driving the overall success of the institute. The Director will work autonomously with full ownership of day-to-day management and growth. Key Responsibilities 1. Academic Leadership Design, review, and continuously improve course curriculum (SEO, Google Ads, WordPress, Shopify, UI/UX Design, etc.) Ensure trainers deliver high-quality, practical, and industry-relevant training. Oversee training schedules, student engagement, and progress tracking. Introduce new programs and certifications in response to industry demand. 2. Operational Management Manage admissions, batch scheduling, student support, and classroom logistics. Implement systems for attendance, course progress, and feedback. Coordinate with trainers, guest lecturers, and administrative staff. 3. People & Team Management Hire and manage trainers, admin staff, and marketing coordinators. Provide mentorship and training to staff where needed. Maintain a professional, growth-focused culture. 4. Student Success & Placement Ensure a high standard of student outcomes. Build and maintain relationships with local employers for internship/job opportunities. Host placement drives, industry sessions, and resume/interview prep workshops. 5. Marketing & Outreach Work with the marketing team to generate leads and increase enrollments. Represent the institute in seminars, college events, and digital platforms. Maintain strong community engagement with alumni and local ecosystem. 6. Reporting & Performance Track and report key metrics: enrollment, completion rate, placement rate, student satisfaction. Take ownership of revenue and profitability targets Required Qualifications & Experience 5–8 years of experience in digital marketing/IT(agency, freelance, or corporate). 5+ years in a training/academic or operational leadership role. Strong understanding of SEO, Paid Ads, Analytics, CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify). Experience managing teams and educational operations. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Familiarity with EdTech tools and LMS platforms. Preferred Attributes Experience working in or managing a digital marketing institute/training center. Fluency in English and Tamil. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of goals.
