A PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) Detailer is responsible for creating detailed fabrication and erection drawings for pre-engineered building projects. This role involves converting design specifications into accurate, clear, and production-ready drawings, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project timelines. They work with software like AutoCAD to produce 2D and 3D models, shop drawings, and erection drawings. Key Responsibilities: Drawing Production: Creating detailed drawings for frames, panels, connections, and other structural components of PEBs. Software Proficiency: Utilizing CAD software like AutoCAD 3D Modeling: Developing 3D models of PEB structures. Shop Drawings: Producing shop drawings for the fabrication of steel components. Erection Drawings: Creating erection drawings for the assembly of the PEB on site. Coordination: Coordinating with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient drawing production. Quality Assurance: Ensuring all drawings are accurate, complete, and meet project specifications and industry standards. Documentation: Maintaining accurate and organized project documentation. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Drawing Skills: Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and practices. Software Proficiency: Expertise in CAD software like AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar. PEB Knowledge: Understanding of pre-engineered building systems, steel structures, and construction processes. Detailing Standards: Knowledge of relevant detailing standards like AISC. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve design issues and discrepancies. Communication Skills: Effective communication and teamwork skills.
