IMMEDITATE JOINER Role - Senior AWS Glue Developer Job Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced Senior AWS Glue Developer to design and build scalable, event-driven data pipelines between AWS and Salesforce. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS Glue, AWS AppFlow, Athena, and Salesforce API integrations. You will be responsible for developing ETL workflows, managing large-scale data movement, and enabling seamless, secure data exchange across platforms. Key Responsibilities: Data Ingestion & Transformation: Design AWS Glue jobs to process files uploaded to Amazon S3 by external systems. Apply business rules to transform and conditionally map data, creating or updating multiple Salesforce records (e.g., Leads, Accounts, Contacts). Use AWS Athena to query and validate large datasets in S3 before and after Glue job execution. Salesforce Integration: Build bidirectional pipelines between AWS and Salesforce using AWS AppFlow , Glue , and Salesforce APIs (Bulk and REST). Use AppFlow to securely transfer Salesforce data into S3 and vice versa, leveraging built-in connectors and scheduling capabilities. Process bulk data from Salesforce using Glue, enrich or transform it, and upload results back to Salesforce. Orchestration & Automation: Configure Glue Workflows and Triggers to respond to: S3 Upload Events Time-based Schedules Custom Events via EventBridge or Step Functions Monitoring & Optimization: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using CloudWatch and SNS Optimize Glue performance and manage partitioned data for Athena queries. Implement robust error handling, retry logic, and audit logging. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with: AWS Glue (ETL, Workflows, PySpark) AWS AppFlow for secure Salesforce-AWS integrations AWS Athena for querying S3-stored data using SQL Proficient in: Amazon S3 , Lambda , EventBridge , Step Functions , IAM Salesforce integration using Bulk API , REST API Strong Python scripting experience Solid understanding of Salesforce object model , relationships, and upsert logic Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Salesforce Platform Events , Change Data Capture (CDC) , or MuleSoft Knowledge of AppFlow customization and data mapping configurations Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Glue (e.g., Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation) Exposure to data lake best practices , schema evolution , and Athena optimization Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
