Job Profile: Plant Head Heavy Fabrication Factory Position Overview: The Plant Head is responsible for the end-to-end management of a heavy fabrication manufacturing unit, ensuring optimal performance in production, quality, safety, cost, and delivery. This leadership role demands strong operational oversight, team management, and strategic planning to achieve business goals and drive continuous improvement within the plant. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management Oversee the entire production process from raw material procurement to finished goods delivery, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Manage plant performance against key KPIs: output, efficiency, cost, quality, and safety. Ensure timely and accurate entries to ERP systems for production and inventory management. Optimize processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement. Prepare and maintain production plans, capacity reports, and performance metrics. Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop the plant team, including production, maintenance, quality, and Planning & Customer Intraction. Foster a positive, accountable, and safe work environment. Identify training needs and implement development programs for plant personnel 4 . Safety, Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations (ISO, OHSAS, etc.). Implement and monitor safety programs and procedures to minimize risks and incidents 49 . Maintain and improve quality control standards, supporting systems such as SPC, TQM, Kaizen, TPM, and 5S. Ensure all products meet customer and regulatory requirements. Financial & Resource Management Manage plant budgets, control costs, and oversee profit and loss for the production Units. Oversee inventory management and supply chain logistics. Allocate resources effectively to meet production and business targets. Stakeholder Communication Maintain open, timely communication with business unit management regarding order delivery and plant performance. Prepare and present operational reports to senior management 2 . Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Production. 15+ years experience in production operations management within heavy fabrication or metal manufacturing. Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role, preferably with exposure to welding, sheet metal, CNC, and related fabrication processes 911 .
