The position is available as full-time, part-time or freelancer offering flexibility to suit different schedules. Key Responsibilities Fragrance Identification : Accurately identify and evaluate a wide range of fragrance notes, ingredients, and compositions through olfactory analysis. Fragrance Creation : Design and develop new fragrance formulas for perfumes, personal care products, or other scented applications, ensuring they align with brand vision and market trends. Ingredient Knowledge : Source and select high-quality raw materials, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards. Collaboration : Work closely with product development, marketing, and R&D teams to translate fragrance concepts into commercially viable products. Testing and Refinement : Conduct rigorous testing of fragrance prototypes, adjusting formulations to achieve desired scent profiles and longevity. Trend Analysis : Stay updated on fragrance industry trends, consumer preferences, and emerging scent technologies to inform creative decisions. Documentation : Maintain detailed records of fragrance formulations, testing results, and ingredient specifications for quality control and regulatory purposes. Client Interaction (if applicable) : Collaborate with clients or stakeholders to develop custom fragrances tailored to specific needs or brand identities. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field. Formal training in perfumery Experience : Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in perfumery or fragrance development (for full-time roles). Part-time candidates may have less experience but must demonstrate strong olfactory skills and a portfolio of fragrance creations. Skills : Exceptional olfactory sensitivity and ability to distinguish a wide range of scents. Strong knowledge of fragrance ingredients, their interactions, and formulation techniques. Creative and artistic mindset with a passion for storytelling through scent. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse teams. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Technical Skills : Familiarity with laboratory equipment, fragrance formulation software, and regulatory standards (e.g., IFRA, FDA, or EU regulations).
