Lidar Engineer Role Overview: We are looking for a motivated LiDAR Data Processing Specialist with 3-5 years of hand on experience in LiDAR and geospatial data workflows. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing, quality checking, and generating accurate geospatial outputs from LiDAR data. Key Responsibilities: Perform flight line alignment and strip adjustment of LiDAR datasets. LiDAR data classification, Break lines capturing, Assigning height to the breaklines etc. responsible for Segmentation , advanced classification. of LiDAR data Conduct georeferencing and ensure accuracy against ground control points (DGPS/RTK). Execute QA/QC checks for completeness, accuracy, and consistency of point clouds. Perform classification of LiDAR point clouds (ground, vegetation, buildings, etc.). Generate DEM, DTM, contour maps, and other derived products. Ensure deliverables meet client specifications and international accuracy standards. Document processes and maintain version-controlled outputs. Work with team members to optimize processing workflows. Desired Skills & Qualifications: 3-5 years of proven experience in LiDAR/Geospatial data processing. Proficiency in tools such as TerraScan, TerraMatch, LAStools, Global Mapper, ArcGIS/QGIS, or equivalent. Strong understanding of LiDAR data formats (LAS/LAZ) and coordinate reference systems. Experience in digitization and feature extraction will be an added advantage. Knowledge of Python or other scripting for automation is desirable (not mandatory).
