About the role

We're building our MVP, and we're looking for a Junior UI/UX Designer to shape how job seekers and employers experience CredXHire from day one.

You'll design our web platform, mobile app and marketing website, working closely with our Product Manager and developers. Trust is at the heart of our product, so your designs will need to make verification feel simple, clear and reassuring, not slow or complicated. Your work will go live quickly and be used by real people.

What you'll do

• Design user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity screens for the CredXHire web platform and mobile app (Android and iOS).
• Design key journeys for both sides of the platform: job seeker sign-up and verification, profile building, job search and applications, and employer verification, job posting and candidate review.
• Make verification steps (document uploads, credential checks, status updates) simple, clear and trustworthy.
• Design the marketing website and landing pages for job seekers, employers and campaigns.
• Build interactive prototypes in Figma to test ideas with the team and real users before development.
• Create and maintain a design system (colours, typography, components) so the web, app and website stay consistent.
• Hand off clear, developer-ready designs and work with developers to make sure screens are built as designed.
• Talk to users, run quick usability tests and use feedback and data to improve designs.
• Work with the Product Manager to turn product requirements into designs, and push back with better ideas when needed.

What we're looking for

• 1–3 years of experience as a UI/UX or product designer.
• A portfolio showing real web and mobile app work, including your process (problem, research, wireframes, final design), not just final screens.
• Strong skills in Figma: components, auto layout, variants and prototyping.
• Good understanding of UX basics: user flows, information architecture, usability and accessibility.
• Experience designing responsive websites and mobile apps that follow Android and iOS guidelines.
• Experience handing off designs to developers and working closely with them.
• Clear communication, and comfort explaining your design decisions and taking feedback.
• Ability to work fast in a startup, manage your own tasks and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with HR tech, job portals, fintech or any product where trust and verification matter.
• Experience designing an MVP or working at an early-stage startup.
• Basic motion or micro-interaction skills (Figma Smart Animate, Lottie, Protopie).
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS, or no-code website tools like Webflow or Framer.
• Ability to create simple marketing graphics for social media when needed.
