Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain relational databases using MySQL and PostgreSQL Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views Collaborate with backend and full-stack developers to support database-driven features Perform data migration , ETL processes , and schema updates as required Monitor and fine-tune database performance and troubleshoot issues Ensure data integrity, security , and backup strategies are implemented Support day-to-day production database operations and participate in code reviews Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with MySQL (InnoDB, performance tuning) and PostgreSQL (schemas, indexing, extensions) Solid understanding of normalization/denormalization , database design principles Experience with pgAdmin, MySQL Workbench , or similar tools Proficient in writing complex joins, subqueries , and optimizing slow queries Familiarity with Linux-based environments , shell scripting , and cron jobs Good understanding of transaction management and ACID properties Good to Have: Understanding of ORM tools like Sequelize, Hibernate, or Prisma Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows Soft Skills: Good communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and in teams Problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail
