Junior Data Analytics Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Data / Analytics Engineer to join our growing data team. In this entry-level role, you will help build, maintain, and optimize our modern data platform. You will work directly with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI to transform raw data into actionable business insights.

Core Responsibilities:

• Data Integration: Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory/Dataflow Gen2) and Databricks to ingest data from various sources into our Lakehouse.
• Data Transformation: Write clean SQL and PySpark code within Databricks and Fabric Notebooks to clean, model, and prepare data for reporting.
• Business Intelligence: Design, build, and maintain interactive, high-performance dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Data Governance & Optimization: Assist in organizing data structures inside Fabric OneLake / Delta Lake and ensure data models are optimized for Power BI performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and business analysts to understand data requirements and deliver reliable data products.

Required Experience/Skills & Qualifications:

• 0 to 5 years of experience
• Education/Training: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent data bootcamp completion).
• Strong SQL Foundations: Ability to write complex queries, joins, window functions, and aggregations.
• Python/PySpark Basics: Familiarity with Python for data manipulation (pandas, numpy) and a conceptual understanding of Apache Spark/Databricks.
• Power BI Experience: Academic, internship, or personal project experience building reports, writing DAX expressions, and modeling data.
• Cloud & Data Concepts: Understanding of basic data warehousing concepts (star schemas, fact and dimension tables, data lakes).
• Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to master modern enterprise platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric concepts (OneLake, Direct Lake mode).
• Relevant certifications, such as:

• Microsoft DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate)

• Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst)

• Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark

• Familiarity with Git version control.
