Junior Assay Master

• Conduct purity testing of gold/silver samples using methods like XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) and fire assay under supervision.
• Assist in sampling, weighing, and recording data accurately.
• Ensure testing is carried out as per BIS hallmarking procedures and standards.
• Prepare and check articles for hallmark stamping.
• Operate hallmarking machines safely and efficiently.
• Maintain traceability between test results and marked items.
• Record test results, batch details, and daily reports in prescribed formats.
• Maintain calibration logs and instrument performance records.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Follow BIS and NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) norms.
• Support in maintaining laboratory hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
• Report any discrepancies or deviations immediately to the Assay Master.
• Help in calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of assay and hallmarking instruments.
• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and sample
