Job Description – Junior Accountant Position: Junior Accountant Company: Delight Agrico Private Limited Location: Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh Employment Type: Full-time Salary: As per company norms Reports To: Senior Accountant / Finance Manager Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to assist in managing our financial records, transactions, and compliance processes. The ideal candidate should have a solid accounting background, good analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain and update financial records in Tally or ERP software. Record daily transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales, and payments. Assist in maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciliation. 2. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations. Follow up on outstanding payments from customers. Verify and reconcile supplier statements. 3. Bank & Cash Management: Prepare and process bank deposits and withdrawals. Assist in bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring. Maintain petty cash records and reports. 4. Taxation & Compliance: Assist in GST & TDS calculation and return filing. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies. Support in statutory audit preparations and documentation. 5. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Generate MIS reports for management review. Support budgeting and financial forecasting. 6. Inventory & Cost Management: Assist in stock accounting and valuation. Work with procurement teams to verify vendor bills and purchase orders. 7. Other Responsibilities: Handle employee reimbursements and salary calculations. Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records. Support senior accountants in ad-hoc financial tasks. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance). 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance. Proficiency in Tally, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel. Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax laws. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the agriculture, rice, or FMCG industry is a plus.
