Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior WordPress Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of WordPress development, theme customization, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and front-end technologies.

The role involves developing and maintaining responsive WordPress websites, customizing themes and plugins, and collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality web solutions.

Freshers with strong technical fundamentals, relevant internships, or hands-on WordPress projects are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using themes, templates, and plugins.
• Work with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF/ACF Pro) to create and display dynamic website content.
• Create and manage Custom Post Types (CPTs) and Custom Taxonomies.
• Develop and modify WordPress templates following the WordPress template hierarchy.
• Use WP_Query to retrieve and display posts and custom content.
• Assist in basic custom plugin development using WordPress hooks, actions, filters, and shortcodes.
• Convert Figma, PSD, or Adobe XD designs into responsive WordPress pages.
• Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot WordPress plugins.
• Ensure website responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and optimal performance.
• Identify and resolve basic website bugs and functionality issues.
• Write clean, structured, and maintainable code with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with senior developers and team members to complete assigned tasks.

Required Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and template hierarchy.
• Hands-on knowledge of ACF/ACF Pro, including text, image, repeater, and group fields.
• Understanding of Custom Post Types and Custom Taxonomies.
• Basic knowledge of WP_Query and custom template development.
• Familiarity with WordPress hooks, actions, filters, and shortcodes.
• Ability to manage WordPress admin functionalities, including pages, menus, widgets, and users.

Programming & Front-End Technologies

• Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Understanding of MySQL fundamentals.
• Knowledge of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ability to convert UI designs into functional WordPress pages.

Plugins & Development Tools

• Familiarity with plugins such as Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, Yoast SEO, and caching plugins.
• Understanding of safe plugin installation, configuration, and updates.
• Basic knowledge of Git for version control.

Good to Have Skills

• ACF Flexible Content and ACF Local JSON (acf-json).
• WordPress REST API and AJAX.
• WP-CLI, SSH, and basic Linux commands.
• Understanding of development, staging/UAT, and production environments.
• WordPress security practices, including sanitization, escaping, and nonces.
• Basic SEO principles and website performance optimization.
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA).

Desired Candidate Profile

• 0–2 years of relevant WordPress development experience.
• Freshers with WordPress projects, internships, or a strong portfolio are welcome.
• Good problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Strong willingness to learn new technologies and accept constructive feedback.
• Attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, readable code.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to understand requirements and complete assigned tasks within timelines.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant technical skills and practical WordPress development experience will also be considered.
