Jr Shift Engineer – Engineering & Maintenance (Hospitality)

We are looking for a reliable, technically sound Jr. Shift Engineer to join our Engineering and Facility Maintenance team. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day plant operations, utility systems, and preventive maintenance during your shift.

This position is well-suited for engineering graduates or diploma holders (0–2 years of experience) seeking career advancement in facility management. Candidates residing in or near Mumbai with prior exposure to hotel operations, luxury facilities, or building management systems (BMS) are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee shift operations across central plant utilities: HVAC (chillers/AHUs), electrical sub-stations, DG sets, pumps, and plumbing networks.
• Conduct regular rounds of guest areas, plant rooms, and back-of-house facilities to identify and log maintenance requirements.
• Respond promptly to guest-room engineering calls, banquet event setup requirements, and F&B equipment trouble tickets.
• Monitor utility consumption meters (water, electricity, diesel, gas) and maintain accurate daily shift logbooks.
• Assist in conducting planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for kitchen equipment, laundry machines, and life-safety systems (fire alarms/sprinklers).
• Supervise duty technicians, plumbers, and electricians on the floor during the shift to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols are followed.
• Escalate major equipment breakdowns or structural issues immediately to the Assistant Chief Engineer / Chief Engineer.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience: 0 to 2 years of hands-on experience in building utilities, plant maintenance, or technical facility management. Fresh diploma/degree holders who completed industrial training/internships in hotels or hospitals are encouraged to apply.
• Location: Must currently reside in or around Mumbai (within reasonable commuting distance to [Insert Area]).
• Technical Skills: Basic working knowledge of HVAC systems, 3-phase electrical distribution, diesel generators, pumps, and firefighting systems.
• Language & Communication: Basic English (for logging reports and interacting with guests/managers) and fluent Hindi/Marathi.
• Work Style: Solution-oriented, calm under emergency situations, and willing to work rotational/night shifts.
