We are specifically looking for someone who has successfully completed full data migration projects (from client consultation through execution). If you don’t have prior end-to-end data migration experience, this role will not be a fit. Overview We are looking for an experienced Data Migration Consultant to join our migration team here at Josh No Code. This is not just a developer role. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading and delivering full data migration projects — from consulting with clients on requirements to executing the migration itself. You will be both client-facing and technical: asking smart questions, scoping solutions, and then building and running the migration workflows that get the job done. If you have not completed actual data migration projects before, please do not apply . Communication Requirement Strong, fluent, and conversational English is absolutely essential. We expect the highest level of spoken, written, and comprehension skills — equivalent to a near-native speaker. You will be speaking directly with clients, so clarity and confidence in English is non-negotiable . Key Responsibilities Consult with clients to understand their data structure, needs, and migration challenges. Scope and recommend solutions based on best practices for data migration. Transform, validate, and clean data before migration. Build and run migration processes using scripting, APIs, and automation tools. Develop scripts for scraping and migrating data between platforms when necessary. Write and execute API calls (REST APIs, JSON) for data transfer and integration. Use Google Sheets/Excel for advanced data transformation, validation, and reporting. Leverage Python for custom scripting and data processing. Document migration processes for client transparency and internal reference. Debug and resolve migration issues, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Essential Skills & Qualifications Proven experience delivering data migration projects (Required). Advanced skills in Google Sheets & Excel (Required). Strong proficiency in Python (Required). Experience with JSON scripting and REST APIs (Required). Demonstrated ability to make and test API calls (Required). Data transformation and validation expertise. Experience with Google Apps Script (Nice to have). Experience with Automa (Nice to have, makes your application stand out). Experience with Puppeteer, Playwright, or Selenium for browser automation (Nice to have). Solid understanding of HTML and using browser Inspector tools for data extraction. Infrastructure/DevOps: experience with VM deployment tools (AWS EC2, etc.) to configure, deploy, and manage VM instances (Preferred, training provided if needed). Excellent spoken and written English (Required — emphasized again). Availability to work during EST business hours (Required). Personal Attributes Exceptionally detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Confident communicator who can consult clients on solutions. Proactive problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Dependable and reliable, with a strong focus on client success and satisfaction.
