Position Title: Structural BIM Modeler Location: Chennai Experience- 2-5yrs Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: BIM Manager/ Lead Role Description The Structural BIM Modeler is responsible for developing accurate, coordinated, and information-rich structural BIM models and drawings in accordance with project standards, client requirements, and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas BIM Modelling & Documentation Develop and maintain structural BIM models using Revit Structure / Tekla (as applicable). Prepare GA drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings for concrete and steel structures. Model structural elements including foundations, slabs, beams, columns, walls, stairs, and precast components. Ensure models are compliant with LOD requirements (LOD 300–400) and project BIM Execution Plans (BEP). Coordination & Clash Management Coordinate with Architectural and MEP models to resolve clashes and discrepancies. Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings using Navisworks / BIM Collaborate. Incorporate design changes and comments in a timely and controlled manner. Standards & Quality Control Follow project-specific BIM standards, naming conventions, worksets, view templates, and coordinates. Perform self-checks and internal QA/QC before submissions. Ensure drawings and models reflect approved design inputs and revisions. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with structural engineers to interpret design intent and details. Raise RFIs/clarifications where information is insufficient or conflicting. Support BIM leads in model audits, coordination reviews, and client submissions.
