Scapic is seeking a talented JavaScript engineer/Architect to be a part of our rapidly growing startup. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing the foundations of Augmented and Virtual Reality tools. You should be an experienced JavaScript developer with a strong proficiency in React.js and a proven track record of building scaled applications in React. Your primary responsibility will be to develop user interface components and implement them using well-known React.js workflows, such as Flux or Redux. It will be essential to ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. Collaboration with other team members working on different layers of the infrastructure will be a key aspect of this role. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and delivering a quality product is paramount. Responsibilities include: - Architecting the frontend React Solution for handling 3D VR/AR scenes - Developing new user-facing features using React.js - Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use - Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers Key Skills: - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model - Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles - Expertise in JavaScript, single-page web applications, and frameworks - Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) - Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript - Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js) - Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus - Familiarity with RESTful APIs - Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools - Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements - A knack for benchmarking and optimization - Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial) - Experience in Aframe/ThreeJS/WebGL is a significant advantage Joining the engineering team at Scapic means being part of a forward-thinking environment that values collaboration and innovation.
