Job Description

Role Overview: As a Java Developer at Lab49, you will lead work on complex and challenging projects for top-tier Financial Services clients, driving transformative change in an Agile environment. Your strong server-side experience will be utilized to work on next-generation financial systems. Key Responsibilities: - Build distributed systems dealing with actor-based concurrency, reactive programming, distributed in-memory data grids, and messaging - Work on server-side JVM-based projects using Java or Scala ecosystem stack - Continuously retool as the technology landscape evolves - Acquire proficiency in various technologies across the development stack, including front-end and non-JVM ecosystems - Collaborate with clients in iterative, project-based engagements to build innovative solutions - Share knowledge and learn from colleagues, delivering quality code and writing commercial-grade software applications - Demonstrate deep understanding of multithreading and real-time software architectures - Solve real-world business problems leveraging technology as an enabler and maintain a positive attitude towards achieving goals Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing and coding enterprise applications in core Java - Proficiency in building RESTful Web Services and implementing test-driven development - Familiarity with Agile software development practices and working in a CI/CD environment - Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or relevant work experience - Interest and knowledge in global financial markets and products,
