As a seasoned Senior Developer & Tech Lead at our company, you will be responsible for writing clean and efficient code, building scalable systems, promoting engineering excellence, and guiding a team of skilled developers in an Agile environment. Your extensive hands-on expertise in Java and Apache Spark, combined with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, will be invaluable in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct detailed impact analyses for code modifications, considering dependencies across application components. - Design and implement scalable, high-performance code using Java and Bigdata / Apache Spark. - Develop high-quality, maintainable code that is modular, testable, and adheres to SOLID principles and industry-standard design patterns. - Create robust unit tests using JUnit, focusing on code coverage, business logic, readability, and reusability. - Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure clean design/architecture and best engineering practices. - Foster an environment of ownership and accountability, emphasizing quality and collaboration. - Guide developers through technical challenges, work in a cross-functional Agile team, translate user stories into technical tasks, and collaborate with stakeholders for high-quality solution delivery. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 8 years of development experience with Java, Bigdata / Apache Spark, and OOP. - Proficiency in REST APIs, RDBMS database, and Kafka messaging systems. - Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). - Proven experience in leading teams and mentoring developers in a fast-paced environment. - Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, effective communication, and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams. - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred.
