As a seasoned Senior Developer & Tech Lead, you will play a crucial role in guiding a team of skilled developers in an Agile setting. Your main responsibilities will include: - Conducting detailed impact analyses for code modifications, ensuring a thorough understanding of dependencies across application components. - Designing and implementing scalable, high-performance code using Java and Bigdata / Apache Spark. - Crafting high-quality, maintainable code that is modular, testable, and aligns with SOLID principles and industry-standard design patterns. - Developing robust unit tests using JUnit, with a focus on code coverage, business logic, readability, and reusability. - Leading and participating in code reviews to uphold clean design/architecture and best engineering practices. - Creating an atmosphere of ownership and accountability, where quality and collaboration are fundamental values. - Guiding a group of developers through technical hurdles, translating user stories into technical tasks, and collaborating closely with various stakeholders for high-quality and prompt delivery of solutions. To qualify for this position, you should have: - At least 8 years of development experience with practical exposure to Java, Bigdata / Apache Spark, and object-oriented programming (OOP). - Proficiency in REST APIs, RDBMS database, and Kafka messaging systems. - Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). - Proven experience in leading teams and mentoring developers in a fast-paced development environment. - A strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills under pressure, and effective communication skills. - Ability to collaborate efficiently in cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience is required for this role, while a Master's degree is preferred.
