Job Description: Area Manager – Tractor Attachment Implements Position Overview The Area Manager – Tractor Attachment Implements is responsible for driving sales, dealer development, and market expansion of tractor-mounted implements (such as Rotovator Blade,Rotavators,Baler,Ridge Mounting hydraulic attachments, Tractor Tires,etc.) within an assigned region. The role ensures strong dealer performance, effective product promotion, and superior customer support to achieve revenue and market share targets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales & Market Development Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for tractor implements in the assigned area. Identify new markets, customer segments, and opportunities for product penetration. Conduct product demos, farmer meetings, and field trials to increase product visibility. Track competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to prepare action plans. 2. Dealer & Channel Management Appoint new dealers, distributors, and sub-dealers in potential markets. Train dealers and their sales teams on product features, benefits, and installation procedures. Ensure dealers maintain required stock, display, branding, and service readiness. Build strong dealer relationships to improve sales performance and loyalty. 3. Product Knowledge & Demonstrations Provide technical understanding of tractor attachments, hydraulics, PTO systems, and implement compatibility. Conduct live demonstrations and farmer education programs. Coordinate with the service team for installation support and after-sales service. 4. Customer Relationship Management Maintain strong relationships with farmers, contractors, and tractor dealership networks. Address product-related customer complaints and ensure timely resolution. Promote AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) or service packages, if applicable. 5. Operational & Reporting Responsibilities Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and MIS updates. Monitor implement performance in field conditions and provide feedback to R&D/production. Ensure pricing discipline, timely billing, and payment collection from dealers. Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of implements. Qualifications & Requirements: Education Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management preferred. Technical knowledge of farm machinery or tractor hydraulics is an added advantage. Experience : 3–10 years of experience in sales of tractor implements, farm machinery, or agricultural equipment. Experience handling dealer networks and field demonstrations is highly desirable. Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills. Good understanding of tractor attachment systems and farm operations. Ability to conduct live product demos and influence farmer buying decisions. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and reporting systems. Willing to travel extensively within assigned territory.
