Role Overview
Support ERP implementations by assessing, designing, configuring, and troubleshooting the infrastructure required to deploy ERP systems within customer environments. Work closely with customers IT teams, ERP consultants, and internal technical teams to meet complex infrastructure, connectivity, security, and availability requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess customer infrastructure and identify prerequisites, dependencies, and gaps for ERP implementation.
- Prepare infrastructure requirements, deployment architecture, sizing recommendations, and technical documentation.
- Support the installation and configuration of ERP application and database environments in coordination with implementation teams.
- Configure and troubleshoot servers, virtualization, storage, network connectivity, firewalls, and secure remote access required for ERP systems.
- Work with customer IT and security teams to meet access, authentication, network segmentation, and security requirements.
- Support connectivity between office, vessel, and remote environments, including troubleshooting issues affecting ERP data transfer and synchronization.
- Coordinate backup, recovery, and availability requirements with customer IT teams and validate agreed arrangements.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues affecting ERP installation, performance, connectivity, and availability.
- Support environment readiness checks, testing, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Maintain deployment records, configuration details, troubleshooting guides, and technical handover documentation.
- Coordinate with customers, infrastructure vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical dependencies and implementation issues.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or enterprise application deployment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and networking.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration, permissions, backup, and infrastructure-level troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of virtualization, storage, firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote access.
- Ability to assess complex customer environments and translate application requirements into infrastructure configurations.
- Experience troubleshooting application connectivity and performance issues across servers, databases, and networks.
- Strong customer communication, technical documentation, and coordination skills.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations is an advantage.
- Experience with maritime environments, vessel-to-shore connectivity, or low-bandwidth networks is an advantage.
- Relevant Microsoft, networking, virtualization, or security certifications are an advantage.
