Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a team Lead - Operations at IQ BackOffice India Pvt Ltd. This is a work from office role based in Ambattur, Chennai. The work timings will be US timings (PST). The Team Lead will manage the day-to-day activities of the team ensuring optimal use of resources, accurate output, and performance by productive team members. They are required to communicate with clients to resolve day-to-day issues, and ensure that the team is appropriately and promptly informed on changes that impact the processing of transactions and provision of service. The team lead will manage a team of 10 to 15 team members. The Team Lead's primary roles and responsibilities include but not limited to : Oversee daily and month-end close tasks (various closing activities, for example: opening a new accounting period, uploading payroll data into GL, closing sub-ledgers, preparing and posting journal entries, reviewing P&L accounts, fixed asset activities, closing GL, financial reporting, as well as cash forecasting, balance sheet account reconciliation, and overseeing inter-company processes) Oversee and support the team on reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure that transactions are recorded accurately Approve journal entries and accounting classifications as needed to complete the financial close each month and report the cash accurately Execute and enhance controls over R2R processes (reconciliations & financial reporting) Responsible for delivering the agreed-upon scope of work and performing and supervising tasks Work closely with the client and maintaining a good working relationship Be the single point of contact (SPOC) for the client delivery Work on stringent deadlines and extended hours during quarter and month-ends Train new team members EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Any graduate or post-graduate in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related courses Excellent understanding of Accounting principles, practices, and procedures Sound knowledge of AP, AR, and GA processes with transition and implementation experience as an added advantage Minimum 6+ years’ experience in an FAO or related business Experience in ERP/Accounting systems Minimum 2 years of managing a team (people management experience) in a similar industry OTHER REQUIREMENTS Excellent English communication skills (written as well as spoken) Willing to work US working hours Exposure to quality concepts will be an added advantage Proficient in MS Office Suite especially Excel Compensation Range offered : 9 to 12 Lakhs per annum
