Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and documentation. Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and final products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Identify quality issues and work with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Conduct root cause analysis and quality failure investigations. Prepare and maintain quality records and reports, including inspection reports, deviation reports, and non-conformance reports (NCR). Assist in the development and review of test methods, quality standards, and inspection criteria. Perform audits (internal and supplier) and ensure corrective actions are followed up. Provide training and support to production staff on quality standards and procedures. Use statistical tools (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma, Pareto analysis) to monitor and improve product and process quality. Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve material quality.
Job Summary 1. To keep an understanding of the different stages of the Machining Process:- (i) Turning (ii) Milling (iii) Broaching (iv) Wire-cut (v) Buffing and Coating 2. Use optimum resource allocation to create a Planning and Scheduling system according to the customer demand for different production stages (i) CNC (ii) VMC (iii) VTL (iv) HMC (v) Drilling & Tapping (vi) Lathe (vii) Packing & Dispatch 3. To perform planning for the Outsourced Products that require Machining. 4. Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) (with break-up of Monthly, weekly, and daily) to ensure alignment with customer demands and production capabilities 5. To coordinate with the Store team in production activity planning to ensure continuous supply and avoid overstocking as well. 6. Analyzing the availability of resources like manpower, material, machines, etc. to prepare Capacity Plans according to the production capacity to ensure maximum Machine utilization in the Machine Shop. 7. Keep track of the production schedule, design metrics for tracking the production status, and take corrective actions like overtime planning and resource reallocation to ensure production always stays on track, and discuss the same in daily production meetings. 8. Having expertise in machining process digitalization, ERP process management, and implementation in the machine shop. 9. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), cycle times, machine downtime, Machine Uptime, Internal OTD, and Customer OTD, etc., monitor them, and keep them under the process standards for all processes 10. To inform the sales, marketing, and casting PPC team of the occurrence of an internal rejection. 11. To maintain data security and confidentiality. 12. To act as a substitute in the absence of your colleague and take the emergent responsibilities. 13. Skills: (i) Understanding of Machining processes (ii) Expert in ERP systems and production planning software (iii) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in using data analysis tools (iv) Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, with certification will be an added advantage (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt 4.
