Job Description: Information Security Audit Intern
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Audit Intern to support our team in information security audits, compliance assessments, documentation, and security control reviews. The intern will gain practical exposure to information security frameworks, audit procedures, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting information security audits and compliance assessments.
- Support the collection, review, and validation of audit evidence and documentation.
- Help assess compliance with information security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in maintaining audit checklists, risk registers, and compliance trackers.
- Support audits related to ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other relevant information security standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect required documents and evidence for audits.
- Identify documentation gaps and assist in tracking corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain audit records and ensure proper documentation of findings.
- Assist in preparing audit reports, status updates, and compliance presentations.
- Follow organizational information security policies and confidentiality requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of information security concepts, IT controls, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or other security frameworks will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
