Key responsibilities : Understand, Design and implementation: Create, install, and commission new automated systems and equipment. Programming and configuration: Program and adjust control systems, such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Human Machine Interface (HMI), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD). Troubleshooting and maintenance: Identify and resolve technical issues with automation equipment, software, and control systems. Process optimization: Analyze and test current processes to find opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Collaboration: Work with production managers and other teams to ensure automated systems meet project requirements and production goals. Documentation: Prepare project scopes, bills of material, specifications, and cost estimates. Support: Provide support for process and equipment start-ups and train production staff. Key skills Technical skills: Deep knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, HMIs & SCADA systems. Software and hardware: Understanding of software development, robotics, electronics, and mechanics. Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement. Communication: Collaborate with various teams and potentially clients to ensure project success.
