Infrastructure as Code Engineer

The Infrastructure as Code Engineer is responsible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management across the DevOps architecture, including CI/CD pipelines. You will be in charge of creating, modifying, and deleting infrastructure using code and APIs. Your role requires expertise in Microsoft Azure IaaS with additional knowledge in Datadog being a plus. As an Infrastructure as Code Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing digital monitoring solutions in Datadog for complex enterprise environments. - Gathering requirements from stakeholders to build meaningful, actionable, and visually compelling dashboards. - Leveraging Datadog Metrics, Logs, Traces, and Events to provide deep insights into application and infrastructure health. - Creating reusable dashboard templates and scalable dashboarding strategies. - Integrating Datadog with external data sources and visualization tools if necessary. - Collaborating with SREs, Developers, and Product Owners to promote observability best practices. To excel in this role, you should possess: - Over 3 years of experience in infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. - Expertise in Microsoft Azure IaaS and familiarity with Datadog. - Educational qualification of 15 years of full-time education. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have: - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Datadog, focusing on custom dashboarding. - Proficiency in building dashboards in Datadog, including various widgets, filtering, and tagging strategies. - Strong understanding of Metrics, Logs, Traces, and Business Events in Datadog. - Knowledge of application performance monitoring (APM) and observability concepts. - Experience in visual storytelling and structuring dashboards effectively. - Proficiency in dashboard performance tuning and optimization. - Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Experience with REST APIs and automation of dashboard deployment using tools like Terraform, Datadog APIs, or configuration-as-code. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
