Key Infoblox / DNS-related responsibilities

• DNS implementation and engineering

• Work deeply with DNS resource records and DNS protocol behavior.
• Understand

  SVCB/HTTPS records

  , DNSSEC, EDNS0, TTLs, resolver and caching behavior.
• Troubleshoot DNS issues using

  packet captures

• DNS resolver integration

• Work with DNS resolver technologies such as

  BIND 9, CoreDNS, PowerDNS, and Unbound

• Ensure consistent DNS policy behavior across authoritative and recursive DNS paths.

• DNS policy management

• Own a Rust-based policy engine used behind multiple DNS platforms.
• Develop and maintain

  record-level DNS policy evaluation

• Build benchmark, regression, and cross-implementation

  DNS conformance tests

• DNSSEC and DNS security

• Integrate and work with

  DNSSEC validation

• Handle cryptographic signing and verification, including

  Ed25519

• Understand TLS/X.509 certificate validation, key rotation, and revocation.

• DNS-based service discovery

• Implement DNS-based discovery mechanisms for AI agents and services.
• Work with DNS records to identify service endpoints and verify their identity.

• Enterprise DDI integration

• Contribute to the productization roadmap involving

  enterprise DDI integration, APIs, and Terraform

  prior enterprise DDI or registrar/registry experience

• DNS standards / IETF

• Work with the

  IETF DNS operations (dnsop)

  community.
• Read DNS-related drafts, implement them, identify practical implementation issues, and provide feedback to the standards working group.

• DNS interoperability

• Implement and test interoperability between DNS-AID and related identity/discovery standards.
• Build integrations involving DNS lookup, catalog discovery, verification, and DNS-anchored domains.
• Administer and support

  Infoblox DDI solutions

  , including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services.
• Configure and troubleshoot

  Infoblox NIOS/NIOS-X appliances, Grid, DNS zones, DHCP scopes, IPAM networks, and HA/failover

  .
• Perform

  Infoblox appliance deployment, pre-staging, migration, replacement, upgrade, and production cutover

  activities.
• Troubleshoot DNS/DHCP issues using

  logs, DNS utilities, network troubleshooting tools, and packet captures

  .
• Support

  DNS security, DNSSEC, DNS resolution, forwarding, and zone management

  .
• Work with

  Universal DDI (UDDI)

  concepts and enterprise DDI integrations.
• Perform

  IP address management, subnet allocation, network discovery, and IP utilization management

  .
• Develop and maintain

  MOPs, implementation procedures, validation checklists, and technical documentation

  .
• Coordinate with network and infrastructure teams for

  HA validation, service migration, change implementation, and post-cutover verification

  .
• Support

  DDI automation and API-based operations

  where applicable.
