Role Overview: We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and deploy predictive models — primarily focused on classification use cases — for a leading BFSI client. The ideal candidate will be an individual contributor with a strong command of Python, machine learning libraries, and a solid understanding of model performance evaluation and deployment best practices. Key Responsibilities: Build, validate, and deploy classification and predictive models to solve business problems in the BFSI domain. Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model tuning to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to define data requirements and interpret model outcomes. Present analytical insights and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity. Continuously explore new ML techniques and tools to improve model accuracy and efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning models. Strong proficiency in Python and libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, and XGBoost . Good understanding of classification algorithms, model validation, and feature selection techniques . Experience with SQL and data handling for model development. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills — ability to explain technical concepts clearly to business teams.
