Job Summary: The Van Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales and ensuring product distribution directly to retailers and customers within an assigned route. This is a highly active, dual-role position combining driving, direct sales, merchandising, and cash collection. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales and Target Achievement: Achieve pre-set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for both existing and new customers on the assigned route. Actively identify new sales opportunities, onboard new retail outlets, and expand the customer base within the territory. Conduct direct sales by selling products immediately available on the sales van. Implement promotional schemes and special offers effectively to boost sales volume. 2. Route Management and Merchandising: Execute the daily assigned route efficiently, ensuring timely visitation of all scheduled shops. Manage product stock in the van, ensuring the right mix and sufficient quantity is carried to meet anticipated demand. Negotiate optimal display space and ensure products are correctly merchandised and prominently visible. 3. Financial and Inventory Control: Handle all cash and digital payments collected from customers accurately and securely. Reconcile daily cash collections against sales invoices and remit funds as per company procedure. Conduct daily physical inventory counts on the van to match stock loaded, stock sold, and closing stock. 4. Driving and Vehicle Care: Safely operate the company sales van, adhering to all traffic laws and company driving policies. Ensure the van is loaded and unloaded safely to prevent product damage. Qualifications and Skills: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in Van Sales, Route Sales, or Direct Distribution , preferably handling FMCG or food products (Dairy/Bakery) . Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Skills: Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and direct selling skills. Strong numerical ability for on-the-spot invoicing and cash reconciliation.
