We are seeking an experienced and motivated Agency Sales Manager to lead and expand our agency sales network in the insurance broking segment. The role involves recruiting, training, and managing a team of insurance agents or point-of-sale persons (POSPs) to generate business across life, health, and general insurance products. You will play a key role in achieving revenue targets, ensuring compliance, and strengthening client relationships through the agency channel. Key Responsibilities: 1. Agency Recruitment & Development: Identify, recruit, and onboard insurance agents/POSPs to build a productive sales network. Provide initial and ongoing training on insurance products, regulatory guidelines, and sales best practices. Drive agent activation and retention through performance tracking, engagement, and support. 2. Sales Target Achievement: Drive business generation through the agency channel across multiple insurance product lines (Life, Health, Motor, General). Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as per the business plan. Monitor and improve agent productivity and sales conversion ratios. 3. Compliance & Process Adherence Ensure agents comply with IRDAI regulations, code of conduct, and all company policies. Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and use of CRM tools and broker portals. 4. Market Development & Relationship Management Understand local market dynamics and identify opportunities for growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, clients, and insurance partners. Conduct joint fieldwork, customer meetings, and sales events to support agents. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Insurance, Finance, or Marketing). An IRDAI-certified POSP Trainer is a plus. Experience: 3–7 years in agency/channel sales within the insurance or insurance broking industry. Knowledge: Familiarity with Life, Health, and General Insurance products. Understanding of IRDAI regulations and POSP onboarding processes. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities. Target-driven and self-motivated. Proficiency in CRM systems, Excel, and broker platforms.
