Summary Summary The Director of Design Services will report to the Regional Vice President - Design Services, India & SWA for the execution of Technical Services within the assigned region maintaining the integrity of Hyatt’s Design Standards. They will oversee the design and execution of key projects in the region through the management of external consultants. Roles & Responsibilities Support the Architecture and Interior Design function of Hyatt Design and Technical Services. Manage, simultaneously, the overview of Design process among the consultants with the purpose of safeguarding the Owners’ interests and the Hyatt product. Work within an internal team to service projects from all angles. Evaluate potential projects in rudimentary or conceptual sketch design form to assess viability. Report on overviews. To attend and lead co-ordination meetings and represent Hyatt International Design Services as and when required. To overview drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure that the approved designs have been incorporated Work on refurbishment projects and provide design guidelines and advice to operating teams. Evaluates potential projects via site visits or in design form to assess viability and compliance to brand structure. To produce sketch drawings and CAD drawings in order to communicate with the Owner’s Consultants. Provide guidance to Owner’s consultants, contractors and project management teams on the implementation of Global Design Standards and all Brand Touchpoints. To assist the Owners’ design consultants on initial space planning and conceptual design. To review and approve drawings submitted by the various design consultants. To provide advice on specifications for fabrics, finishes, carpeting and surfaces. To review specifications for interior furnishings and fixtures. To assist in the development of Resort and Urban Master Plans. To develop and update the Preliminary Area Programs for projects. Excellent communication channels are to be maintained with Hyatt International Engineering and Technical Services Specialists. Qualifications Eligibility Criteria Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or Interior Design. Experience in hospitality industry, minimum 5 years. Minimum of 10 years’ experience. Excellent communication, presentation, written and public speaking skills. The ability to identify crises, resolve issues, and ensure collaboration within ownership, consultants, and brand teams, including maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity. Ability to evaluate and find opportunities from a strategic perspective, develop, prioritize, and implement plans to meet the organization’s core strategic goals as well as individual design and brand objectives. Able to lead large-scale creative teams across multiple brand and projects simultaneously. Experience with management of ownership groups, architecture and interior design consultants. Summary The Role The position will report to Managing Director – India & SWA and will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The position of ‘Director of Revenue Management – India & SWA’ will be responsible for driving the continued development and growth of revenue and profits for the portfolio hotels and run an efficient revenue organization for the region, and provide best-in-class recruitment, and training and best practices across hotels. This role will provide key leadership surrounding the hotel's revenue recognition policies and will regularly collaborate with the sales operations and different marketing organizations to bring best decisions at the forefront. The position is also responsible for the cluster organizations set-up in India & SWA. Operational Working in close collaboration with the Commercial Services team in achieving the key commercial KPIs for the region. To assist management of new hotels in India & SWA and coordinate with Global Contact Center of the hotel set-up for optimal revenue performance. Proven strategic oversight of pre-opening hotels and resorts with strong international and/or India market exposure. Ability to implement revenue clustering strategies and articulate benefits across multi-asset owner portfolios. Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing revenue teams.
