Job Description What Your Everyday Will Look Like: Understand the 8 yrs+ long ongoing project background, its intent and functions in respect to the urban development of Bhubaneswar and sync with company culture & ethos. Work in close coordination with the existing team lead & the core team. Establish professional, healthy and efficient relationship with the team as well as the client representatives. Inherit the concurrent work style & start delivering; the candidate may choose in the process to evolve own style of working in close coordination with team and in confidence with the client. Lead by example – and support the multi-disciplinary team of min. 8-10 professionals currently operating out of client office in Bhubaneswar. Regularly review the work produced by the team via group discussions, one-to-one discussions, etc. to maintain & enhance the quality of work, inculcation of innovative ideas, project costing, and practicality. Stay updated on latest industry trends, govt. scheme, global competitions & discords, innovations, constantly evolving technology, new concepts in the field of urban design and provide continued counsel to the client as well as guide the team. Be the proponent of the sustainable and climate resilient urban development at every possible stage of the project. Build upon the healthy collaborations with various sector experts, locals, NGOs, artists, etc. that are already established by the team and continue mutually progressive partnerships. Support the client as and when required and/ or instructed on variety of aspects while working in close coordination with relevant client representatives, experts, consultants, etc. Should be able to deliver on own whenever required, especially on short deadlines with good grip on industry relevant software such as ACAD, QGIS, Adobe Suite, ACAD, etc. along with Microsoft office and other similar software. Ensure successful delivery of routine project monitoring compliances such as monthly progress reports, action plans, incl. proceedings of key meetings, etc. Work in close coordination with Senior Leadership on various administrative & operational aspects of the project, team, client, budget, etc. while also support on other projects as well. Who Are You on Paper: University degree in urban design, from a university of national and/ or international repute. Min. 8 years of cumulative field experience (non-negotiable), with proven experience leading and managing small- and large-scale project along with leading small team of minimum 3 members. In depth knowledge and preferably experience of working of varied scale of projects. Research based data driven approach for fair understanding of project and orientation. Well acquainted with industry best practices, trends and has an urge to keep constantly updated with an attitude to learn and share within team. Exceptional ability to bring resolutions to variety of challenges wrt project operations, urban issues, design & planning matters in a most practical & sustainable manner. The zeal to bring in innovative ideas to the team & work is an essential skill for getting the job correct in a high paced work environment. Attitude to strive for most practical communication skills, attitude to work as a team member while supporting the team, stakeholder consultations, client engagement on a daily basis. Experience of closely working with bureaucrats certainly adds to the overall experience. A people’s person who understands the team dynamics and the sensitivity involved to work with a multi-disciplinary team of around 10-15 professionals and maintain a balanced relationship between the team & the client, specifically being a client location-based project.
