Job Title: Service Engineer – Dispatch & After-Sales Support Department: Operations / Service Location: Ahmedabad Reporting To: Operations Manager / Service Head Job Summary The Service Engineer – Dispatch & After-Sales Support is responsible for coordinating material dispatch, ensuring timely delivery, and providing effective after-sales technical support to customers. The role requires close coordination with the warehouse, vendors, site teams, and customers to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Dispatch & Logistics Plan, coordinate, and monitor dispatch of materials as per project and service schedules Ensure correct material packing, labeling, and documentation before dispatch Coordinate with transporters and track material movement until delivery Maintain dispatch records, delivery challans, and stock movement logs Communicate with site teams regarding delivery timelines and material status After-Sales Service Handle customer complaints, service requests, and warranty claims Diagnose technical issues and provide remote or on-site support as required Coordinate with OEMs / vendors for replacement, repair, or technical clarification Ensure timely closure of service calls and maintain service reports Follow up with customers to confirm issue resolution and satisfaction Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with sales, installation, and project teams for smooth handover Prepare daily/weekly service and dispatch status reports Maintain service history, AMC records, and customer databases Ensure compliance with company processes and safety guidelines Required Skills & Competencies Basic to good technical knowledge of electrical / solar / industrial equipment Strong coordination and communication skills Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently Familiarity with dispatch documentation and inventory processes Proficiency in MS Excel, email, and basic ERP/software systems Qualifications ITI/ Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related field 1–3 years of experience in dispatch coordination and after-sales service (preferred) Key Attributes Customer-oriented approach Good problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Willingness to travel for site visits when required
