Role Description - Founding Product Designer (Bags) As a Product Designer at Holdé, you will define the aesthetic and functional language of the brand from day one. You will design across categories—backpacks, totes, travel bags, utility bags, pouches, and hard/soft-shell suitcases —bringing concepts from sketches to prototypes to production. Your role includes conducting user research, solving real usability problems, exploring materials, and designing products that balance style, durability, and everyday functionality. You’ll collaborate closely with founders, manufacturers, and sourcing partners to ensure that designs are production-ready, cost-efficient, and scalable. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi . Qualifications Previous experience in designing bags, accessories, luggage, or travel goods Strong expertise in Product Design with excellent visual design, sketching, and rendering abilities Understanding of bag construction, suitcase design, ergonomics, materials, trims, and hardware Experience working directly with manufacturers, suppliers, and sample rooms (India/China preferred) Proficiency in Design Thinking , user research, and user-centric problem-solving Ability to convert concepts into detailed tech packs and production-ready specifications Excellent collaboration skills across founders, sourcing teams, and factory partners Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design , Product Design , Fashion/Accessory Design, or related field Bonus: Knowledge of prototyping, CAD tools, suitcase component development, and rapid iteration cycles
