Job Title: Ancillary Coder/QA

Job Summary: Ancillary Coders are responsible for accurately reviewing and coding ancillary services documentation such as lab tests, radiology, Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, Respiratory Therapy, EKG and Stress Test. They ensure compliance with coding standards and contribute to accurate billing and reimbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review ancillary documentation including lab reports, radiology reports, Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, Respiratory Therapy , EKG and Stress Test.
• Assign appropriate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for ancillary services.
• Ensure coding accuracy in accordance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of coding regulations, payer policies, and industry updates.
• Assist in audit and compliance efforts related to ancillary coding.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) and coding software systems efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Any life science or Paramedical science graduate
• Specialization in coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA mandate
• Strong interpersonal and good communication skills
• Must be passionate about learning new processes
• More than 3 years of experience in coding and should possess proficient experience in Evaluation management and ED coding
• Good analytic skills and expertise to be proficient in accurately coding medical records utilizing ICD-10-CM and CPT.
