JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: INTERIOR DESIGNER JOB SUMMERY: An Interior Designer is responsible to drive the project from beginning till end. The position demands the individual to have good design skills, empathy & necessary qualities to deliver the project along with the team. Prime responsibility of this position starts with taking brief from client, design conceptualization followed by layout finalization, preparation & understanding of budgets, Services coordination, BOQs finalization, release of GFC drawings FFE etc & all support required on design for completion of project. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Client Consultation & Communication Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project requirements. Develops design concepts and produces contract documents based on client needs. Maintain open communication with clients, providing regular updates and obtaining approvals at key milestones. 2. Layout & Design Conceptualization – Create compelling design concepts and mood boards for client approval. Takes accurate as-built measurements for developing floor plans and elevations. Creates design concepts and digital presentations with finish selections, furnishings, and fixtures. Presents design concepts and takes detailed notes to address customer requests. 3. Space Planning – Develop effective space plans that optimize layout and flow for functionality. 4. Material and Color Selection – Choose suitable materials, finishes, and color schemes aligned with the design concept. 5. Furniture and Fixture Selection – Source and select furniture, fixtures, and accessories that complement the overall design. 6. Collaboration with Architects and Contractors – Work closely with architects and contractors to ensure design plans align with structural requirements. 7. Project Coordination– Closely work with project team for project implementation, managing timelines. KEY COMPETENCIES (Technical): Proficient in ACAD, Revit, Photoshop, Google Sketch up, Enscape, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs Ability to convert ideas into design through sketching manually. Good knowledge of MS XL, MS Word, MS Power Point & MS Projects Conversant with latest design trends & new material available Has detailed technical knowledge of the construction process Has ability to manage the activities of several projects concurrently QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: B.Arch. /B. Interior Design 4-6 years of experience in designing of corporate, retail & hospitality interior projects for well-known brands. Essential: At least 3 yrs experience in commercial retail fit out is mandatory REMUNERATION: 45K – 55K
