Department: Finance & Accounts Reporting to: Directors and Managing Director Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of 6 accounting professionals. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AR/AP, bank reconciliation, and journal entries. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing and reporting. Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, budgets, and forecasts. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements like GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, etc. Coordinate with auditors (internal, statutory, and tax) for successful audits. Monitor project-wise costing and profitability, especially for ship repairs and marine contracts. Manage cash flow, fund flow, and working capital requirements. Oversee inventory and asset management. Drive improvements in financial processes and internal controls. Ensure efficient use of accounting/ERP software and guide the team on the same. Qualifications & Skills: Chartered Accountant (CA) or a Masters Degree in Finance/Accounting. Minimum 1015 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in the marine, ship repair, or engineering industry preferred. Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards. Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
