Role Overview We’re seeking a research-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to fuel Heystack’s growth. Unlike traditional outbound sales roles that focus on volume, this role emphasizes quality, research, and timing. You’ll be responsible for deeply understanding target accounts, identifying relevant pain points, and crafting thoughtful outreach that resonates with decision-makers in CPG, retail, and consumer goods. Your success will come from curiosity, persistence, and the ability to connect what’s happening in a prospect’s business to the value Heystack provides. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth research on target accounts to understand company strategy, category trends, and product performance challenges. Monitor news, earnings calls, press releases, product launches, and competitive moves to identify the right timing and context for outreach. Carry-out tailored outreach primarily via email and LinkedIn that highlight prospect-specific pain points and demonstrate Heystack’s value. Qualify inbound leads by uncovering needs and aligning them with our platform’s capabilities. Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to refine ICP definitions, messaging, and campaigns. Maintain organized account intelligence and activity tracking in CRM (HubSpot). Generate and book qualified discovery calls and demos to create pipeline for Account Executives. What You Bring 3+ years of experience in Outbound B2B business development (SaaS or analytics experience is a plus). Exceptional research and analytical skills—able to quickly connect company developments, product launches, or customer pain points to Heystack’s offering. Strong written communication—comfortable writing concise, compelling, and personalized outreach messages. Digital-first prospecting expertise—proven success with email and LinkedIn as primary outreach channels. Curiosity, persistence, and ability to stay informed on industry and account-specific developments. CRM proficiency (HubSpot). Bonus: Experience working with consumer brands, e-commerce, consumer insights, or AI/NLP technologies. Why Heystack?
