A Sales/ Account manager is responsible for building relationships with customers, and closing deals to meet sales targets. The role focuses on direct interaction with customers to promote and sell products or services. Minimum 1 or 2 years must Experience in this field Lead Generation and Prospecting : Identify Prospects : Research and identify potential customers through online research, networking, and referrals. Cold Calling/Outreach : Initiate contact with prospects through cold calling, emails, or social media to generate interest in the company's products or services. Product Presentations and Demonstrations : Product Knowledge : Understand the features, benefits, and technical aspects of the product or service being sold. Presentations : Present product or service demonstrations to potential clients, explaining how they meet the client's needs or solve their problems. Answer Queries : Respond to customer inquiries and provide detailed information about the product, including pricing, features, and usage. Sales Negotiation and Closing Deals : Negotiation : Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions with prospective clients to close deals that meet both the customer’s needs and the company's profitability goals. Close Sales : Work toward closing sales deals and signing contracts, ensuring the smooth completion of the sales process. Upselling : Suggest additional or complementary products to increase the value of the deal (upselling or cross-selling) Customer Relationship Management : Client Follow-Up : Maintain regular contact with both prospective and existing clients to nurture relationships and ensure repeat business. Post-Sale Support : Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and handle any issues or complaints that may arise. Build Long-Term Relationships : Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients to encourage loyalty and repeat business. Sales Target Achievement : Meet or Exceed Sales Quotas : Work to meet assigned sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Goal Setting : Align personal sales goals with company targets and ensure consistent performance to achieve sales objectives. Sales Reporting and Documentation : Maintain Records : Keep accurate records of customer interactions, sales processes, and transactions using CRM software or spreadsheets. Sales Reports : Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, deals in the pipeline, and closed deals to management. Market Feedback : Gather feedback from customers about product features, market trends, and competitors, and report it back to the marketing or product teams. Market Research and Analysis : Competitor Analysis : Monitor competitor activities and products, staying updated on market conditions and trends. Customer Insights : Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviors, and use this information to tailor sales strategies. Collaboration with Other Departments : Work with Marketing : Coordinate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns, product launches, or customer acquisition strategies. Cross-Department Collaboration : Collaborate with the product, finance, and customer service teams to ensure the smooth execution of sales and post-sales support. SKILLS Communication and Presentation Skills : Clear, persuasive communication to effectively present products and engage customers. Negotiation Skills : Ability to negotiate pricing and terms to close deals. Customer Relationship Management : Strong focus on building and maintaining relationships with clients.
