About Machinify
Machinify is a healthcare payment integrity company formed through the 2024–2025 mergers of Legacy Machinify, Apixio Payment Integrity (CPS/ClaimLogiq, including Varis), Rawlings Company (Right Payer Solutions), and Performant Health. As we integrate infrastructure and operations across four previously separate companies, our India office needs strong local IT and operations leadership to support a growing employee base and to lay the groundwork for a future site leadership function.
Role Summary
The Head of IT & Operations Support will own day-to-day IT infrastructure and facilities/administrative operations for Machinify's India office. This role is the local point of accountability for employee IT support, office operations, vendor management, and facilities, while also helping integrate India infrastructure with Machinify's broader (mixed cloud and on-premise) technology environment. Over time, and as the India presence grows, this role is expected to expand into a broader Site Lead position with additional people and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Support
- Manage day-to-day IT operations for the India office: helpdesk/employee support, hardware and software provisioning, network and endpoint management.
- Support integration of India IT systems with Machinify's global infrastructure, which spans mixed cloud and on-premise environments across four legacy entities.
- Maintain IT security practices consistent with Machinify's compliance obligations (HITRUST r2; SOC 2 Type I & II where applicable) and healthcare data handling requirements (HIPAA, HITECH).
- Manage relationships with local IT vendors, ISPs, hardware suppliers, and managed service providers.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, licensing, and access management for the India site, coordinating with global IT and security teams.
Facilities & Administrative Operations
- Own facilities management for the India office: workspace planning, vendor contracts, office supplies, health and safety compliance.
- Coordinate administrative operations supporting the India team (travel, procurement, expense support, local vendor payments) in partnership with finance.
- Serve as the primary local point of contact for employee operational needs and office-related escalations.
- Support local onboarding/offboarding logistics for new hires in partnership with HR.
Cross-Entity & Compliance Alignment
- Help harmonize IT and operational policies inherited from separate legacy-entity infrastructures into a single, consistent India site standard.
- Partner with global security and compliance teams to maintain audit readiness (HITRUST, SOC 2) for India-based systems and operations.
- Flag and help manage any operational considerations relevant to Machinify's government-contract business (e.g., data handling requirements tied to ATO obligations), even where India operations do not directly support those contracts.
Growth Into Site Leadership
- Build the operational and IT foundation expected of a full Site Lead role as India headcount grows.
- Take on expanded responsibilities over time, potentially including local HR liaison duties, employee engagement, and broader site governance.
- Partner with global leadership on workforce planning and site strategy as the India office scales.
Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years in IT infrastructure/support and/or facilities/operations management, including 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Experience managing IT operations in a hybrid cloud/on-premise environment.
- Experience working in or supporting a multi-site or multi-entity organization, ideally through a merger or integration.
- Strong vendor management, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Comfortable operating with significant autonomy while maintaining close communication with US-based leadership across time zones.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred
- Experience in a healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industry with exposure to HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, or SOC 2 requirements.
- Prior experience as, or direct preparation for, a site leadership or office-head role.
- Experience supporting IT/operations during a company merger or post-acquisition integration.
What Success Looks Like
- Reliable, well-supported IT infrastructure and facilities operations for the India office.
- India IT systems and operational policies fully aligned with Machinify's global standards and compliance requirements.
- A demonstrated readiness to step into an expanded Site Lead role as the India office grows.
